Vanshika Agrawal, Giorgio Nigra | CRIT #56 | Fondazione Pastificio Cerere
16 June 2026, 18:30–20:30
On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, from 18:30 to 20:30, the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere invites you to attend CRIT #56. This event is organised by CASTRO and will feature the work of artists Vanshika Agrawal and Giorgio Nigra.
A CRIT is a meeting in which two artists present their work, offering it to a collective criticism. CRITS are based on the idea that group discussion can enhance the practice of the artist. The CRIT audience is invited to observe the work on display and immerse themselves in it as fully as possible. After a brief introduction by the artist, the discussion is driven by contributions from the audience, who are invited to share their perspectives, comments and questions, thereby engaging in a dialogue with the artist.
At the heart of the CRIT lies the exchange between the artist and the audience. CRITs take on the value of a collective ritual and provide opportunities to negotiate shared meanings and values. They are based on the idea that reflecting with peers can enrich artistic practice by introducing objectivity to the private, deeply subjective creative process.
CASTRO is an experimental educational project founded in Rome in 2018 by the artist Gaia Di Lorenzo. The project is structured around three main programmes: the Studio Programme, the Public Programme, and the Academia Programme. The Public Programme encompasses a variety of free, publicly accessible events, including CRITs, lectures and artist talks.
