Inspired by Charles Baudelaire’s eponymous collection of poems, Chiara Camoni’s exhibition I fiori del male is curated by Alice Motard. The show isolates a recurring motif in Camoni’s practice—the flower—exploring its subversive potential through poetic, symbolic, and unsettling forms. Through this perspective, the exhibition offers a new reading of Camoni’s practice, revealing its complexity while introducing a counterpoint to the predominantly ecofeminist interpretations and the positive values that have generally been associated with her work.
