Luca Parise | Surface, Friends, Fantasy | Z2O Sara Zanin
20 February – 11 April 2026
Z2O Sara Zanin presents Surface, Friends, Fantasy, a solo exhibition by Luca Parise, curated by Enrico Camprini. The show is hosted at Z2O Project, Via Baccio Pontelli 16, Rome.
Luca Parise works with painting, image, and surface as sites of social and emotional exchange. Surface, Friends, Fantasy explores the skin of things — the painted surface, the digital screen, the social face — as a zone of contact, desire, and constructed identity. Where does a surface end and a body begin? What fantasies are inscribed into the textures of everyday life?
Parise’s work draws on the visual language of advertising, social media, and consumer culture, but redirects this vocabulary towards an interrogation of intimacy and friendship. The exhibition proposes that surfaces are not merely things to look at, but environments to inhabit — fields of relation between people, objects, and images.
Z2O Sara Zanin has established itself as one of Rome’s most rigorous and internationally connected galleries, with a programme that consistently places emerging Italian artists in a global dialogue.
